Design Brief

Douglas Scott Limited was established in September 2004 & quickly expanded to meet the demand for efficient recruitment process coupled with a high level of service delivery. Douglas Scott now employs over 15 people with a plush head office on York St. right in the heart of Manchester and feet on the ground in offices in the centres of Leeds & Birmingham.

They are client focused in their approach to recruitment and recognise the value of building strong, transparent partnerships with both clients and candidates.

Douglas Scott required a new brand design which fits with the quality and reputation of their brand image and involved: marketing messages, corporate identity, web design, stationary, and other marketing materials. The website needed to be easy to use and have an integrated job search area, making it easy for Douglas Scott to post jobs in-house.

Zumm Creative Approach

The logo design uses an interesting abstract illustration of the letters D and S, taken from the first letters of 'Douglas Scott'. Each side of the business is given a different logo colour, showing differentiation of services but also brand consistency, and allows each side to be marketed separately.

The website needed to be separated into the three business services. This is highlighted on the homepage of the website, where the three striking brand colours can be seen. The site integrates an online job search feature, allowing the site to be easily updated in-house by Douglas Scott, and gives the visitor access to the latest jobs.
